Beyond Loss

This morning our President will give the eulogy at Ted Kennedy's funeral on Misson Hill in Boston. It has been a very moving few days beginning with the announcement of the senator's death on Wednesday morning. His funeral motorcade wound its way from his home in Hyannis to the Kennedy Library, where he was waked in a sunlit room facing Dorchester Bay and the Boston skyline. Thousands stood on the streets of Boston to watch the procession, others waited in line to pay respects as a military and civilian honorguard stood quietly by the flag drapped casket. Last night we watched the memorial service and felt waves of emotion as family and friends spoke of his life.
